Many also received their education oversees, including college degrees. A reputable background screening company will be able to complete a background check for you for a job candidate that lived, worked, and was educated in a foreign company. One thing to keep in mind however, are the cultural and societal diversities within that country. If you were to call your background screening company and ask them to verify a high school diploma for someone from 1970 in North Korea, chances of getting a verification are slim to none. Also, in Hispanic societies you will be asked to provide a mother’s maiden name. The Hispanic culture is a matriarchal society which means that everything involving school records is going to be verified using a mother’s maiden name.
